1994 PCED OBDI-A | SECTION 2A: Diagnostic Routines |
| Symptom | OASIS Number |
|---|---|
| Exhaust System Concerns | 403000 |
| —Odor (Sulphur/"Rotten Egg" Smell) | 403596 |
Note: A slight sulphur smell may be normal. Catalysts with less than 5-10 thousand miles (new vehicle or replaced catalyst) are more likely to have a sulphur smell concern due to the highly active state of new catalysts. If no problem is found, replacing the catalyst may actually make the symptom worse.
