Tailgate, F-150, F-250, F-350, F-Super Duty

Removal

1. Remove check cables at pillar T-head pivots.

2. Lift the RH end of the tailgate off the hinge bracket and remove the tailgate from the vehicle.

3. If a new tailgate is being installed, transfer all mouldings, latches, hinges, brackets, links, clips and washers onto new tailgate.

Installation

1. Follow the removal procedures in reverse order.

   D	—	Apply Lubricant, ESB-M1C185-A or Equivalent, to Inside Portion of Tailgate Retainer Hinge Cup.
