REMOVAL

Shift Lever and Boot

  1. Slide the two guide pieces off the cardan joint.





  1. Slide the shift lever boot and shift lever boot retainer as an assembly off past the top of the shift lever.





  1. NOTE: A cross-shaft passes through the cardan joint and is pressed into the shift lever. Do not disassemble these components.

    Invert the shift lever boot and shift lever boot retainer and remove the snap ring.
