REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Reservoir, Pump Remote Oil

NOTE: This procedure refers to remote reservoir used with direct drive pumps.

 

Removal

  1. Using suction gun, remove fluid from the filler opening.

  1. With container nearby, disconnect return hose from reservoir and drain into container.

  1. Disconnect supply hose from reservoir and drain into container.

  1. Remove fasteners and reservoir from bracket.

 

Installation

  1. Inspect hoses. If swollen, abraded, or deteriorated, replace.

  1. Install reservoir on bracket and install fasteners.

  1. Connect supply and return hoses to reservoir and tighten clamps.

  1. Fill reservoir with MERCON® ATF Fluid XT-2-QDX or MERCON® equivalent.

  1. Install filler cap.
