Removal
Remove tailgate window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator, Power, Tailgate in the Removal and Installation portion of this section.
Raise back window glass (42006) to full up position. If glass cannot be raised, remove glass as outlined in Window, Tailgate in the Removal and Installation portion of this section.
WARNING: COUNTERBALANCE SPRING IS UNDER TENSION! TO PREVENT INJURY FROM SUDDEN MOVEMENT OF REGULATOR COMPONENTS, CLAMP/LOCK GEAR SECTORS TO ALLOW SAFE WINDOW REGULATOR ELECTRIC DRIVE REMOVAL.
Disconnect wiring harness from window regulator electric drive (23394).
Detach and remove window regulator electric drive from tailgate.
Installation
Follow removal procedures in reverse order.
