The fuel tubes used on the diesel engine are mostly of the nylon push connect type.
Push Connect Fittings
Push connect fittings are used to make most vehicle fuel tube connections in diesel fuel systems. These fittings must be serviced as described in Service Procedures, Push Connectors, Nylon, in this section. Service is not possible if the fitting is damaged, except to replace a damaged retaining clip.
