AM1 CHECK TR SENSOR ALIGNMENT

Does the tool fit properly?
YesNo
REMOVE tool. GO to AM2.LOOSEN the two TR sensor mounting screws. MOVE the TR sensor about to allow insertion of the TR sensor tool in the appropriate slots. TIGHTEN the screws to specification. VERIFY shift linkage adjustment. RERUN QuickTest.
 

AM2 CHECK TR SENSOR RESPONSE

Does each gear register properly on NGS Tester?
YesNo
GO to AM6.GO to AM3.
 

AM3 CHECK CONTINUITY OF TR SENSOR HARNESS CIRCUITS

Is each resistance less than 5.0 ohms?
YesNo
GO to AM4.SERVICE open circuit(s). REMOVE breakout box. RECONNECT all components. RERUN Quick Test.
 

AM4 CHECK TR CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO POWER AND GROUND

Is each resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
YesNo
GO to AM5.SERVICE short in harness. REMOVE breakout box. RECONNECT all components. RERUN Quick Test.
 

AM5 CHECK TR SENSOR RESISTANCE

Is each resistance reading within specification?
YesNo
REPLACE PCM. REMOVE breakout box. RERUN Quick Test. If system is not repaired, REFER to Section 07-01A of the Powertrain, Drivetrain Service Manual to complete TR sensor circuit diagnostics.REPLACE TR sensor. ADJUST TR sensor per procedure in AM1. REMOVE breakout box. RERUN Quick Test. REFER to Section 07-01A of the Powertrain, Drivetrain Service Manual to complete TR sensor circuit diagnostics.
 

AM6 RETEST PCM

Is DTC 0705, 0707, 0708 or 1705 present?
YesNo
REPLACE PCM. RERUN Scan Tool Diagnostic Tool.GO to AM7.
 

AM7 INTERMITTENT

Does the PID change states during the wiggle test?
YesNo
SERVICE open circuit as necessary. RETEST.Unable to duplicate. SYSTEM OK.
